Perfect

This was a required text for Medical Injury/Emergency Management. The book scratched the surface on anatomy and common signs/symptoms for injuries. It was not overly technical and gave clear explanations. Illustrations, tables, and pictured examples gave a further understanding to what was being discussed in the text. Great for class, and also perfect for the layman that wants to get into first aid.

This book was required for a class I was taking in Sports Medicine and contains a lot of useful information. That being said, if you're going to go beyond an introductory course in sports medicine, I would probably get a book that is a bit more dense-- this same information will probably appear in other books that you use throughout your studies, so it makes more sense (to me at least) to eliminate the cost of one book in favor of a more substantial book that will provide more detailed information to help you through your other classes.

Belongs in any trader's library

This is one of the very few trading books that are really useful. Written in a very clear and concise style it is a rare pleasure to read. It is clearly not dumbing down the subject of trading, but even a novice trader should have no difficulty in understanding the concepts outlined.

It makes a great point to explain that trading forex can be very rewarding not only financially, but also intellectually. And you can fit it very well into your personal time schedule as this market is open 24 hours a day.

The author guides the novice trader from the basic structure of the forex market and the special jargon to the various ways you can analyze it, including fundamental and technical analysis. He does not overwhelm you with too many technical indicators that are so common in stock market analysis and might just cloud the decision making. His focus is rather on identifying demand and supply zones and the respective imbalances. For confirmation purposes a look at candle charts can be quite useful and he describes a few patterns to look for.

Another chapter is dedicated to the very important subject of money management and trading psychology. Without properly executed money management traders run the very real risk of ruin.

My personal favorite chapters are those on the detailed trading plan and on Metatrader 4/5. These contain very practical and hands-on instructions on proper set-up and usage. Metatrader 4/5 is a trading platform which is provided by most forex brokers but can also be directly downloaded for free. For successful trading you have to know how to take the most out of your trading platform.

This book is well edited, professionally done and a very good investment worth every penny.

This Book is Definitely Worth the Read!

In Three Lines Forecasting Forex Price Action by R. Rana the author does an excellent job explaining concepts related to supply and demand by using the candlestick chart through out the book. I appreciate that the author is very thorough and uses clear wording and pictures to aid readers in fully understanding the concepts. It also includes a sample trading plan and trading log that could be a helpful asset, especially for those just starting out. I would recommend this book to any beginning traders, or more experienced traders who want to hone in on specific strategies.

My only suggestion is to order the versions that are in color (color book) or on the kindle; I purchased the black and white book version and found the figures were a bit confusing without color.

AMAZING BOOK! A MUST BUY!

I just brought this book, Kindle edition, and I am at the time of this writting only 28% into the book. Nevertheless, I can already tell you WITHOUT a doubt that this is the best Forex book I've ever read! A lot of Forex books are riddled with horrible typos and the message they are trying to convey gets lost in the horrible bad editing or lack thereof. This book so far has been a pure delight! There's a lot of useful info in this book. The author clearly explains each new subject and a easy and concise manner. I love this book. *Note only get the Kindle or Full Color Book version. Don't get the black and white paperback version otherwise you may get confused when looking at the charts etc.

About the Author
David Nelken is Professor of Sociology and Director of the Institute of Sociology at the University of Macerata in Italy. He is also visiting Professor of Law (Criminology) at University College London where he was previously Reader in Law. His book The Limits of the Legal Process (Academic Press, 1983) gained an American Sociological Association Distinguished Scholar Award. He is general editor of the International Library of Criminology and Criminal Justice (Dartmouth) for whom he is editing a volume on White-Collar Crime. He will also shortly be publishing a book with N Passas on Controlling EC Fraud and for Pluto Press a book entitled Law's Truth.

I wouldn't exactly call it "Healing" Psalms

I looked forward to having this book in my resource library, because I am in training as a hospital chaplain and this sounded fabulous.
What I found, unfortunately, was not a dialogue with God about healing, but a diatribe by the author about evil-doers getting what's coming to them. I felt like I was learning how to be a better finger-wagger or how to keep my feet steady upon the Moral High Road.
This will be a good fit for people who want black-and-white, us vs. them answers to difficult questions. For me, working as I do with people of different faiths, different social backgrounds, and different illnesses, this was not a match.
It's not healing, but there's lots of moralizing. If you want proof of why you're better than your neighbor, this is the book for you.
Two stars because it does include all the Psalms and the author wrote a clear message. It also has a great Table of Contents, which I found to be more helpful to me in applying the Psalms than the author's comments.

The Psalms, like Shakespeare, the Bible, need interpretation. This is my go to book when I need to read the Psalms.
Haberman gives a para on what the Psalmist is trying to say, and then a paragraph that fits modern day. It's a good start and much better than trying to read the Psalms on ones own.

FOLGER Shakespeare Library Edition of the Tragedy of King Lear BETTER THAN EXPECTED!

I have reviewed several current editions of King Lear and other Shakespearean plays, and was somewhat disappointed in the Folger edition of King Richard III. Nevertheless, the Folger Shakespeare Library edition of King Lear appears to be both accessible and scholarly, with solid reasoning behind its balance of the First Quarto with the First Folio versions of this intense and telling tragedy which we do well to revisit now.

My first love will always be Prof. Tucker Brook's redaction in the The Tragedy Of King Lear (The Yale Shakespeare) which against the academic preferences of the time chose the First Quarto over the First Folio. The reasons given by the Late Prof. are compelling, and brought about a generation of conflated editions which combined the two versions. The Quarto came first in publication, of course, and is longer; the Folio is later and does not contain several lines present in the Quarto (I believe about three hundred) yet introduces several (perhaps one hundred) of its own.

And so we have a generation of productions which sought to combine the two. For instance we have an early recording of Paul Scofield as the King using a conflated edition and a later recording from his eighties in which only the Folio is used: King Lear (Naxos AudioBooks), following as it states the The Tragedy of King Lear (The New Cambridge Shakespeare), a strictly First Folio presentation. The greatest available recording is of course the Branagh - Gielgud production King Lear (BBC Radio Presents) which must be purchased and repeatedly heard, as it is real. Be that as it may, with this brief description of the history of this tortured text, let me state this present edition from Folger presents solid reasons for its always arbitrary choices. While stating their preference for the First Folio edition, they actually publish here a conflated version, with variant readings in a variety of brackets and poiinted parentheses, with explanations. They have produced therefore something here of great value, yet at a small price and therefore accessible to any classroom, production company or reader.

As usual the Folger diverges from the usual Critical Edition format of a third of a page of text, a strip of variorum and a third of a page of notes to the text above. Folger correctly fids more readable a diptych approach. In opening the book to the play, the reader discovers on the right hand page the text and on the left hand page notes. Further specific notes are discovered in the back.

In short (if it is not too late to write that) this book may approach any other critical edition, and passes many (let us not mention the unfortunate Joe Pearce's attempt). It presents a thorough examination of Shakespeare's life and theatre, suggestions on reading "his" language, and on reading Lear, this great tragedy for our times. A critical essay by Susan Snyder is included in the back, as well as suggestions for further readings. I find this edition in brief very useful for any new scholar of Lear, and I only wish I could now afford the new King Lear: New Critical Essays (Shakespeare Criticism), or even Critical Essays on Shakespeare's King Lear (Critical Essays on British Literature), and the rest.

would not recommend shakespeare on kindle unless you are already very familiar ...

I never studied this one in school. I need the notes on the opposite page explaining the elizabethan terms, otherwise it is hard to follow. would not recommend shakespeare on kindle unless you are already very familiar with the play or pretty expert in language of that time period.
